| Fireworks at The Curve |
So I'm going to start writing about this year, how I started 2016. Put 2015 aside, surprisingly I started my first week 2016 with the same people, colleagues of mine. We went to see the fireworks, I hang out with new friends and went cycling when we were supposed to go hiking. LOL
I started knowing them back in September 2015 when I report duty to my new workplace. We had to go through 2 months of On Job Training (OJT), and that's when all 64 of us (the MTPs) got really attached to each other.
After a week of SUCCESS training, it's a classroom-based training by the way, we had to go to different departments just to get the gist of the operations of the company. Well, I was in group 1, with my superb group mates, we were having fun and all, but time was envious of us and we had to part ways, to different departments and workplace.
Anyway, actually I started being close to 2 guys from the batch, Syakir and Qari because I bluntly decided to join them to weekly badminton sessions. They asked in the whatsapp group, I showed my interest, the next day they asked me in person and the session was on the very next day. The old me would've kept quiet about my interest and move on, but yeah I'm glad I said yes, at least now I've improved my bad skills and I have a weekly (almost) sports session and I gained a lot of new friends.
Piqa, on the other hand, is a girl I met from the first day of my OJT. She was late, and she was alone, like me! Well, she had friends but she just so used to be alone. As for me, I'm alone because I have no friends, I had to make new friends hahah. This girl has that strong personality that is something very admirable, so independent and so true to herself.
All in all, after 2 months of training have passed, we were all scattered all over the country (over kau!), some of us still are in contact with each other. Us 4, for example. Different background, different personality but somehow we managed to click.
I guess that's the beauty of it, when you're open to people, you'd be surprised of how amazing people can be, how so much more you can learn and how so much more you can improve.
Be open to people, but be true to yourself
